Obits:PUCKETT,Caleb , d.06/24/1999 Oct, 2001 Magoffin County, KY Submitted by: Ky.quest@gte.net (Diane Montgomery Parsons ************************************************** CALEB PUCKETT CAREY, Ohio -- Caleb Puckett, 91, of 401 Frederick St., Carey, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 1999, at his residence. He was born May 2, 1908, in Magoffin County, Ky., to Andrew and Rebecca (Howard) Puckett. He married Ida Dyer on June 18, 1950. She died Nov. 8, 1984. Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jerry (Betty Lou) Coldiron, Carey; Mrs. John (Helen) DeAmicis, Findlay; one stepson, Harold Dean Dyer, Carey; 17 step-grandchildren; and 35 step-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one stepson, Arthur E. Dyer; five brothers, Preston, Steven, Adam, John, Benjamen; and two sisters, Muhuldy Stone and Bertha Risner. Mr. Puckett was retired from National Lime and Stone Co., Carey. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, Carey, as well as National Lime and Stone's Quarter Century Club. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Bill Mahan officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today at Beach Funeral Home, Carey, and two hours prior to services at the church Saturday.
