Hall Medical Center in Paintsville. She was born February 5, 1914, in Magoffin County, the daughter of the late Fred and Evelyn Morris Patrick. She was a retired school leacher/homemaker and a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Jack W. Prater, of Salyersville; Four brothers, Birch Patrick and and Bernard Patrick, both of Bloomington, Brooks Patrick, of White Oak, and Berlin Patrick, of Sa1yersville; two sisters, Ruie Clark, of Bloomington and Ruby Danie1s, of Ashland; three grand~hildren and three great-grandchildren. Other than her parents preceding her in death were her husband, James Prater Jr.; one son, James R. Prater III; three brothers, Ben Patrick, Bud Patrick and Beecher Patrick, and one sister, Reva Gutermuef. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at The Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Campbell officiating. Burial followed in the Prater Family Cemetery in Bloomington with the Magoffin County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
