Age: 80

MAGOFFIN COUNTY — Delphia Stevens Roark, 80, of Cow Creek, 
Salyersville, died Friday, April 9, at Paul B. Hall Regional Hospital, 
Paintsville. 

Born Nov. 17, 1923, in Salyersville, she was a daughter of the late Troy 
and Roxie Holbrook Stevens. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Haden Roark; two sons, 
Donald D. Roark and Billy L. Roark; a brother, Ellis Stephens; and three 
sisters, Zelphia Roark, Letha Cole, and Dice Ester Cliber.

Survivors include two sons, Calvin C. Roark and Kernie B. Roark, both 
of Salyersville; four daughters, Helen Conley of Paintsville, Darlene Purvis 
of Fleming County, Nevada Frazier of North Carolina, and Nebraska Jackson 
of Salyersville; a brother, Arthur Stephens of Salyersville; two sisters, Kathryn
 Stephens and Maxine Stephens, both of Salyersville; 13 grandchildren; 
13 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, April 12, at Kernie Freewill Baptist Church, 
Salyersville. Burial was in Patrick and Lovely Cemetery, Johnson Fork, 
Salyersville, under direction of Salyersville Funeral Home, Salyersville.
