Carl Vanderpool
Died: Friday, October 17, 2003
Age: 79

Carl Vanderpool, 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Salyersville, 
died Friday, Oct. 17, at East Galbrath Health Care Center, 
Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born Jan. 24, 1924, in Magoffin County, he was a son of the late 
James and Ada Teel Vanderpool. He worked with Ashland Oil, 
was a WW II Army veteran and a member of the United Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Imogene Caudill 
Vanderpool; and three brothers, Eldon Vanderpool, Jesseva 
Vanderpool and Pete Vanderpool.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Vanderpool of Taylor Mill, and 
Byran Timothy Vanderpool of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, 
Winford Vanderpool of Ashland, and Harold Vanderpool of 
Centerville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Magoffin County 
Funeral Home Chapel, Salyersville, with Revs. Joe Carroll, Buster 
Blanton, and Carl Howard officiating. Burial was in Bluegrass 
Cemetery, Salyersville, under direction of Magoffin County 
Funeral Home.
