VIRGINIA M. PRATER WICKER

LIMA, OHIO -- Funeral services for Virginia M. Wicker, 85, 
of Lima, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles and 
Sons-Laman Shawnee Chapel, Lima, the Rev. Douglas Adams 
officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. 

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at 
the funeral home. 

Mrs. Wicker died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 at 
Lima Manor Nursing Home. 

She was born Nov. 15, 1914 in Magoffin County, Ky. to Frank 
and Louise (Collinsworth) Prater. She married Virgil May, 
and he died in December 1955. She then married Luther Wicker 
on June 1, 1959, and he died Oct. 29, 1991. 

Surviving are a son, Paul E. May, Carey; a daughter, Linda 
Neidemire, Elida; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Lorine Russell and 
Lou Ray McGaffie; two brothers, Boyd Prater and Reuben Collins; 
and two sisters, Sissie Fletcher and Laurie Eastepp. 

Mrs. Wicker was a homemaker and a bending machine operator at 
DWG Cigar, retiring in 1976. 

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
