Lena Darnell Perkins, age 75 of Owingsville, Ky, passed away 
Monday, August 21, 2006 at her residence. She was born December 26, 
1930 in Magoffin County, Ky. She was a homemaker. 

She is survived by two sons: Lucas Perkins and Arnold Perkins, 
both of Mean, Ky.; and two daughters: Phyllis Phipps, of Owingsville, 
Ky., and Janelda McIntyre of Sebastian, Florida. She is also survived 
by 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband: Alonzo Perkins; her parents: 
Edward Darnell and Daisy Fugate Darnell; one son: James Perkins; 
two daughters: Leona Davis and Donna Perkins; one brother: 
Samuel Darnell; and two sisters: Edith Back and Ruby Back. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 23 2006 at 4:00 pm for the family 
and 5:00 pm for the public at the Magoffin County Funeral Home, and 
Thursday until time of services. 

Services will be Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Magoffin 
County Funeral Home, officiated by Randell Jackson. Burial will follow 
in the Family Cemetery, Middle Fork, Magoffin Co., Ky.
