LIDA POWERS:
1924 - 2002

Born in Salyersville, Kentucky on Jul. 23, 1924
Departed on Aug. 31, 2002 and resided in Mansfield, OH.

Lida Powers, 78, died Saturday afternoon, August 31, 2002 at Mt. Carmel 
East Hospital in Columbus after an extended illness. Mrs. Powers was 
born July 23, 1924 in Salyersville, Kentucky and was an area resident 
since 1946. She retired after 30 years as a food service supervisor 
with Mansfield General Hospital. Lida attended Berea Prep School and 
College, Berea, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll Powers; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, Linda and Jesse Parzero of Gahanna, Ohio and Donna and 
Roger Kaufmann of Long Island, New York; five grandchildren, Allyson 
Parzero of Los Angeles, California, Ashley Parzero and Stacy Parzero, 
both of Gahanna, Ohio, Christina and Jon Freas of Elmira, New York, and 
Daniel Kaufmann and his fiancée, Stacey Bifano of Long Island, New 
York; two great-grandchildren, Mark and Matthew Freas of Elmira, New York; 
three sisters, Lerlean Salyer of Louisville, Kentucky, Lorna Whitfield 
of Berkley, Michigan, and Erin Snowden of Alabama; two brothers, Morris 
Caudill of Marion, Kentucky and Alison Caudill of Alabama; and numerous 
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and 
Myrtle (Reed) Caudill.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral 
Directors one hour prior to funeral services that will be held Thursday, 
September 5 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial 
contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
