Prater, Joe Kenneth

D.A.V. Rites Held for Prater
   Military rites were  held on Sepember 7, 2004
for Comrade Joe Kenneth Prater at the Magoffin
County Funeral Home by D.A.V. Chapter 15.
   Comrade Prater entered the U.S.A.F. on April
12, 1951 and was discharged September 14, 1953 with
the rank of Airman First Class.
   Comrade Prater's medals included the Korean 
Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal.
   Members of D.A.V. Chapter 15 who participated 
were R.C. Arnett, Chester Blanton, Melvin Blanton,
Michael Blanton, Bill Caudill, James Montgomery,
Wayne Jenkins, Todd Preston, Johnnie Carpenter and
Willard Risner.
