Alice was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Magoffin County, a daughter of the late Stormy Cooper and Rose Arnett Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hager Reed; two brothers, Morris Cooper and Robert Cooper; and two sisters, Callie Conley and Janet Conley. Alice was a former employee of the C.H. Parsons Company and a member of Unity Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Vivian (Charles) Robinson; a son, Michael (Sharon) Reed of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; four grandchildren, Julie Robinson of Cartersville, Ga., Angie (Scott) Fannin of Carrollton, Ga., Aaron Reed of Portland, Tenn., and Brad Robinson of Ashland; and two great-granddaughters, Claire Fannin and Olivia Fannin of Carrollton, Ga. She is also survived by a sister, Clara Grace (Bill Joe) Isaac of Dayton, Ohio; and a brother, Jim (Madge) Conley of Salyersville, Ky. Visitation will be at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel from 6 to 8 tonight. The funeral will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Dr. Floyd Paris and Brother Harold Cathey officiating. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
