1913 - 2006

Peachie Rigsby, 93, of Rigsby Road, Peebles, OH, went home 
to be with her Lord at 2:40 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006 
at her home.

She was born September 1, 1913 in Salyersville, KY the 
daughter of the late Harkless and Hester (Cole) Montgomery.  
On January 20, 1932, Peachie was united in marriage to William 
Hayden Rigsby who preceded her in death on November 22, 1974.

Surviving are seven sons: Huey Rigsby and wife Bonnie of Waverly, 
OH, Paul Rigsby and wife Linda of Hillsboro, OH, John H. Rigsby 
of Peebles, OH, Edward Ivan Rigsby and wife Katherine of Peebles, 
OH, William Ray Rigsby and wife Linda of Waverly, OH, Larry Rigsby 
and wife Diane of Ackworth, GA, and Gary Rigsby and wife Loretta of 
Lorton, VA; 5 daughters:  Lurie Prater of Stockdale, OH, Rurie Slusher 
and husband Ova of Stockdale, OH, Frances Rowe and husband George 
of Waverly, OH, Lou Slone and husband Delbert of Waynesfield, OH, Janet 
Ingham and husband Stan of Waverly, OH and daughter-in-law: Eydie Rigsby 
of Waverly, OH; 45 grandchildren; 91 great grandchildren, and 29 great great 
grandchildren; five brothers:  Esaw Montgomery and wife Flossie of Piketon, 
OH, Rousaw Montgomery and wife Marie of Waverly, OH, Hager Montgomery 
of Latham, OH, Sam Montgomery and wife Henrietta of Clyde, OH, and Ollie 
Montgomery and wife Evelyn of Latham, OH, and a special caregiver: 
Sharon Rhoden.

In addition to her parents and husband, Peachie was preceded in death by a son: 
David Allen Rigsby; four brothers:  Matt, Ted, Roman and Russell Montgomery; 
Three sisters:  Faye Hicks and two infant sisters; and three grandsons:  Scottie 
Brownfield, Sam Slusher and Stephen Huey Rigsby, also three sons-in-law: 
Darrell Brownfield, Charlie Slusher and Hersh Prater.

Peachie was a homemaker and a member of Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the New 
Covenant CCCU in Waverly with Elders Emerson Montgomery and Larry Stanley 
officiating.  Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Friday and at the church 
from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
