November 12, 1925-October 14, 2006 

Herman Salyer, age 80 of Salyersville, Ky, passed away Saturday, 
October 14, 2006 at his residence. He was born November 12, 1925. 
He was disabled, a veteran of the Army, and a member of the Lakeville 
Freewill Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Faye Minix Salyer; two sons: Doug Salyer and 
Mikey Salyer, both of Salyersville, Ky; three daughters: Vickie Patrick and 
Tammy Howard, both of Salyersville, and Donna Salyer of Morehead, Ky; 
one brother: Willis Salyer of Hilsboro, Oh; and four sisters: Neva Watson 
of St. Petersburg, Fl, Norma Jean Pennington, Billie Salyers, and Betty Jo 
Roberts, all of Dayton, Oh. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 
great grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death his parents: Hobert Salyer and Alta Spradlin Salyer; 
and one sister: Oakly Edwards. 

Visitation will be Saturday, October 14 at the Magoffin County Funeral Home 
at 7:00 PM for the family and 8:00 PM for the public, all day Sunday, October 15, 
and Monday, October 16 until time of services. 

Services will be Sunday, October 16, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Magoffin County 
Funeral HOme Chapel, officiated by Floyd Arnett, Ronald Puckett, and Justin 
Williams. Burial will follow at the Family Cemetery, Litteral's Fork, Magoffin County, KY.
