Sparks, Della Gibson -77, of Salyersville, died Sunday, 
July 31, 2005.  

Born Feb. 27, 1928, in Magoffin County, she was a daughter 
of the late Bobby and Medie Nickels Gipson. She was a homemaker 
and of the Pentecostal faith. 

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henery Lee Sparks; 
four sons, Arnold Sparks, Robert Sparks, Eugene Sparks and Matthew 
Sparks; one daughter, Suedell Sparks; three brothers, Claude Gipson, 
Troy Gipson, and Calvin Gipson and two sisters, Delphia Holbrook and 
Elsie Sparks. 

Survivors include seven sons, Clarence Sparks of Jackson, Mich., Danny 
Ray Sparks and Delmer Sparks, both of Portsmouth, Ohio, Dallas Sparks, 
bobby Dean Sparks, Marcus Sparks, and Ronnie  Lee Sparks, all of Salyersville; 
three daughters, Avanell Salyers of Lucasville, Ohio, Bonnie Lou Sparks and 
Ana Sue Gipson, both of Salyersville; a brother, Robert Lee Gipson of Lucasville ; 
21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Magoffin County 
Funeral Home Chapel, Salyersville, with Arthur Cole officiating. Burial will be in 
Sparks Cemetery, Burning Fork, under direction of Magoffin County Funeral Home.
