Frozie Montgomery Tackett, 90, of Chillicothe, OH, departed 
this life on December 21, 2006 at the Adena Regional Medical 
Center in Chillicothe.

She was born July 27, 1916 in Salyersville, KY the daughter of 
the late Hiram Montgomery and Maryann (Montgomery) Wilson.  
On November 22, 1935, she was united in marriage to Cornelius 
“Neal” Tackett, who preceded her in death on January 17, 1972.

She is survived by a son: Gary Tackett and wife Darlene of Waverly, 
OH, seven daughters: Joyce Haddox and husband Elwood, Shirley 
Welch, Rosalene Malone and husband John, Nana Dempsey and 
husband Ronald all of Chillicothe, Nola Braucher and husband 
Robert of Galena, OH, Caroline Daloisi and husband Perry of Waverly, 
and Sherry Plowman and husband Tom of Lexington, KY; 16 
grandchildren and numerous great and great great-grandchildren; 
two sisters:  Alma Jean Rinehart of Chillicothe and Elizabeth White 
of North Carolina; five brothers: John Montgomery of Macon, GA, 
Ed Montgomery of Chillicothe, Joseph Montgomery of Bainbridge, 
OH, Clyde Wilson of Cleveland, OH and Orville Wilson of Chillicothe.

In addition to her parents and husband, Frozie was preceded in death 
by a son: Jimmie Tackett; four grandchildren: Garreth Howard Welch, 
Gregory Haddox, Michael John Malone and Brenda Wentzel; three brothers: 
Leonard Montgomery, Ronald Montgomery and Menifee Montgomery; 
two sisters: Georgia Baldwin and Martha Roush. 

Frozie was a member of Chillicothe Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2006 
at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Brothers Ray, Lloyd and 
Charles Tackett officiating.  Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Sunday in Caldwell 
Cemetery at Richmondale, OH.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. Saturday.
