Newsclip: Nathan Carlisle, Marion County, KY, 1887 --------------------------- Submitted by: Carol Holt Date: 16 June 2002 --------------------------- From The Semi-Weekly South Kentuckian, Friday, December 9, 1887 Judy Desarn, a 14 year old boy, while fooling with a pistol accidently shot and perhaps fatally wounded an old man named Nathan Carlisle, at Raywick. Carlisle was reading his bible when shot. Note from Carol: Although the article says he was an old man, he was actually born in 1843, and died in 1888, making him 45 when he died. He is buried in Geood Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
