Mrs. Teresa Devine, aged 107 years, died Friday at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Mary L. Walls, on Lick Run, in this county, of infirmities due to old
age. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon and the internment
was in the family burial ground. Deceased was married four times, her last
husband being John Devine, who preceded her to the grave about twenty years
ago. She leaves two children, Mrs. Mary L. Walls, of this county and Marion
McCarty, of Daviess County. She is also survived by sixty-five grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Devine before her death, was the oldest person
living in the county. She had a large number of friends and acquaintances,
all of whom express great sorrow at her death.
