Roland Gauze
March 11, 1978

     Pilgrim, KY - Roland Gauze 91, died March 11, 1978, at Louisa, KY.
     Born March 27, 1887, member of the United Baptist Church, married to
Zilphia Preece, in 1908.  Zilphia died November 28, 1955.
     To this union was born 13 children four are deceased, nine survives.
Deceased are Lucian B. Gauze, Sherman Gauze and two which died in infancy.
Nine survivors are four sons and five daughters, sons, Freelin of Michigan,
Jimmy of Pilgrim, KY.,Orville and Vadis of Lovely, KY., daughters, Flora, and
Florencie of Pilgrim, KY., Ruby of Ashland, KY., Mildred of Mich., Minerva of
Georgia.
     He had 46 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, total of 117 children and
grandchildren, at the time of his death.
     Funeral arrangements were made by: Richmond Calligan Funeral Home.
Burial in Gauze-Preece Cemetery at Pilgrim.
