Obit: Emma Dot Preece Moore, October 6, 1998, Lovely, KY Contributed for use to UsGenWeb Archives by Magi Robinson, magi@modempool.com Emma Dot Moore 1898 ~ 1998 Emma Dot Moore, 100, of Lovely, died Tuesday, October 6, 1998 at her home. She was born August 30, 1898, in Mingo Co., W. Va., to the late Freelan and Minerva Watson Preece. Known as Aunt Dot to her many friends and family, she was a member of the Union Church of Emily Creek. She was retired, but had operated a boarding house for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Moore: one daughter, Ollie Moore Stepp; three grandsons, Joseph C., William Martin and David; nine brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by one sister, Judy Maynard of Lovely, seven great grandchildren, Joe C. Stepp, Tommy Step, Lita Ryan, Angela Adams, Vanessa Turner and Sheila Kirk; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral seervices were held Friday, October 9, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at the Richmond-Callaham Funeral Home, Warfield Chapel, with Reverends Woodrow Nichols and Jimmy Maynard conductiing services.
