Written: April 1934

  Samuel Strode and Ann Strode came personally into Court and proved that they 
were well acquainted with David Williams, late an officer in the Virginia 
Lines in the Revolutionary War and with Thomas Williams, late of the town of 
Washington, (Mason County), and that the said David Williams and Thomas 
Williams were brothers, and they s died without children many years ago; and  
that Thomas Williams died in the town of Washington, about two years ago, 
leaving Thomas Williams, Sally Fox, late Sally Williams, and Elizabeth Faw, 
daughter of Nancy Faw, late Nancy Williams as his heirs.
 Note Sammuel Strode and Ann Strode lived in Berkeley County, Virginia,and it 
is there they knew the Williams family.
