Dates as indicated JANUARY 2, 1867 Died - ROSS, in Chicago, on the 18th of December, after a painful illness of six weeks. Nellie Peers, infant daughter of Thomas A. and Kate C. Ross, of this city, aged fifteen months. JANUARY 9, 1867 In the Circuit Court yesterday, the suits of H. C. White and John J. Mackin, against D. B. Miller and others, who constituted the Board of Trade, under the orders of Major General Burbridge, in 1864, were dismissed by the plaintiffs, the matter having been satisfactorily adjusted between the two parties. It is greatly to be regretted that all such troubles between citizens of Kentucky, growing out of the late unfortunate war, could not be thus settled. JANUARY 16, 1867 Died KAPS - On Monday, January 7th, 1867, in this city, after a short illness, Mrs. Catherine E. Kaps, wife of Louis Kaps, and daughter of C. and E. Hiser, in the 22nd year of her age. ROGERS - In Carlisle, on Saturday, Elder John Roger's, a prominent preacher of the Christian Church. JANUARY 23, 1867 Died JACKSON - Mrs. Malvina Jackson, of Delphi, Indiana, and formerly of Mason county, Ky., a daughter of Mr. Charles Lyons, deceased, died on the 27th of Dec., 1866 of Lung Fever, after 5 days of intense suffering, which she bore without a murmur. She was conscious of her situation, and died happy. We knew her well, and can truly say that she adorned her Christian profession. She has left a fond husband and one child. The Maysville Eagle title changed to the Weekly Maysville Eagle in January 1866.
