Moore Tobacconist at No. 126 Broadway, Paducah, was born in 1859, in Nashville, Tenn. He is the sixth child of a family of seven born to J. G. and Mary Moore, nee Hiter, both of whom are deceased. His father was born in Ireland and his mother was a native of Tennessee. William H. was reared in his native city, where he learned the business of tobacconist and he followed it until 1882, when he came to Paducah and established a cigar manufactory, associated with Mr. Rogers. They do an extensive wholesale and retail business and are among the substantial business men of the city and employ several skilled workmen in their factory.
