White was born in McCracken County, September 21, 1856, and is a son of Dr. Augustus White. He commenced the study of medicine under his father's instruction, and afterward graduated from the Missouri Medical College, at St. Louis. Returning to McCracken County, he has since been engaged in the practice of his profession, having the respect and confidence of the community. He has a farm of 109 acres, and gives some attention also to farming pursuits. He married Mrs. Alice (Wilson) Hough,by whom he has one child, Lucille. Mrs.White has one child Hunter, born to her former husband.
