He is a son of Dr. James Wheeler, a physician and extensive farmer of Christian County, Ky., where he has resided for the past forty years. Charles K. spent his boyhood on his father's farm, and at the age of thirteen he was placed at the Stewart College, at Clarksville, Tenn., and there graduated at the age of seventeen. He then took up the study of law, reading under no paticular instructor, but in the fall of 1879 he entered the senior class in the law department of the Cumberland University at Lebanon, Tenn., and graduated in the spring of 1880. He then opened an office in the City of Paducah, Ky., where he now is practicing with prospects of a brilliant future.
