ROBERT REEVES GOES SOFTLY OUT She Will Be Buried Tomorrow Afternoon in Oak Grove One of Paducah’s most prominent and devoted families was broken up by the angel of death when the life of Mrs. Annie Weil Reeves went out with the setting sun and her soul was claimed by her Maker at 7:05 o’clock yesterday evening. Her death was not unexpected, as her condition during yesterday was extremely grave. The end came peacefully. Members of the family were grouped about her bedside. Mrs. Reeves’ death came as a shock to social circles in the city, in which she was popular, and a gloom was cast over the city. Her illness began several weeks ago and death was indirectly the result of heart trouble and complications that had confined her to her bed many days. She was unconscious at the last. Her death brings a sweet womanly career to an untimely close. Mrs. Reeves was the wife of President Robert L. Reeves, of the First National Bank, and had resided in Paducah since early childhood. She was a motherly woman and a devoted wife. Always looking out for the welfare of her immediate family, she was a typical home lover and a tender mother. Her character was pure and sincerity was manifested throughout her life. She was born at Mayfield and early in life she came to this city with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Weil. On November 21, 1888, she was married to Mr. Reeves in this city and they resided for many years at the present home, 738 Jefferson street. Surviving her are her husband and one child, Miss Azalee Reeves. She also leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Weil and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Hart, wife of Mr. Edson Hart, and Mrs. Laura Weille. All reside in the immediate neighborhood on Jefferson street. The funeral has been set for 3 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the residence, and the Rev. Grant T. Sullivan, pastor of the Broadway Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. The pallbearers will be as follows: Honorary – Major J. H. Ashcraft, Dr. J. G. Brooks and Messrs. I. D. Wilcox, T. A. Baker, G. W. Robertson and D. A. Yeiser; active – Messrs. J. D. Macquot, Frank Rieke, Sam I. Levy, Louis Rieke, Sr., George Langstaff and W. B. Mills.
