I being a native of the State of Kentucky, McCracken County. I make and ordain this my last will and testament, being in sickness but in sound mind and memory. And first of all I give and resign my soul to God who gave it. As to my worldly or earthly property I dispose of it in the following form and manner I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Nancy Waters one spotted mare aged five years and I also give unto her one sorrel mare with a blaze face and thirty head or more of stock cattle and thirty head of stock hogs, all the corn, wheat, rye, and oats on my plantation and also one black dress and bonnet to be taken from my trunk of goods and also all the household and kitchen furniture belonging to me. Also two ploughs and gear, two ----? and one ax, drawing knife and hand saw, two angers? and two ---? and vice chain, ring and staph. And I also give unto my stepchildren, William Hill, and Tabitha J. Hill, one hundred and fifty acres of land in Warren County, to be equally divided between them I also give to my sister Nancy Waters one white dress to be taken from my trunk. And the balance of my property not named above, I want sold on a credit from six to twelve months, and the profit arising from said sale after my debts are paid, I want it appropreated to the purchase of land for my children And I nominate and appoint Matthew Waters my executor to carry this my will into effect Hereunto I do set my hand and seal, January the first day one thousand eight hundred and thirty two S. Waters dec'd was exhibited to the court by the executor therein named and it appraising to the satisfaction of the court that the signature is the hand writting of the said Solomon M.
