Acres, Anna Butler---Daughter of M. C. and Bell Vann Butler was 
born in Scott County, Tenn. on September 1, 1885, deceased this 
life on May 2, 1954, at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 1 day. 

She married James Acres, January 22, 1911, and to this union were 
born 6 children, 4 of which preceded her in death. Besides her 
husband, she leaves a son, Charles Acres of Cincinnati, Ohio, a 
daughter, Mrs. Ancil Russell, Orlando, Fla., also one son, and one
daughter by a former marriage, James Hatfield, of Chicago, Ill.; 
Mrs. Hattie Williams, Beckley, West Virginia.  1 grandchild, 6 
great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Frank Butler of Huntsville, 
Tenn., and Tom Butler of Los Angeles, Calif, 3 sisters, Mrs. 
Mary Lloyd of Knoxville, Tenn., Mrs. Roddie Hughett of Oneida, 
Tenn.; Mrs. Joe Hatfield of Vasper, Tenn., and a host of other
relatives and friends.

Early in life she professed a hope in Christ, and was a charter 
member of the Norma Baptist Church, at Norma, Tenn. Later she 
moved her membership to the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Oneida, 
Tenn., where she remained a member until her death. She was also 
a member of the Eastern Star Sapphire Chapter No. 259 in Oneida, 
Tenn.

Our loss is great, but we feel that it is a gain to her.
