FROM WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES

Bridges, William-Born February 19, 1871, passed away March 1, 
1957 at the age of 86 years.

He professed a hope in Christ and joined the Upper Capuchine 
Church and was baptized the 2nd Sunday in March, 1902, and 
lived a devoted Christian life. He always attended his church 
as long as he was able to go. He kept his membership in the 
Upper Capuchine Church as long as he lived.

He leaves 1 son, D. L. Bridges, 5 daughters, Nellie Phillips,
Ella Terry, Naomi McPeters, Esther Meadows and Mary Bridges 
to mourn his leaving, but all are prepared to go and meet him 
where there will be no more parting. He also leaves a host of 
grandchildren and many friends to mourn his absence, but we 
feel our loss here is his eternal gain in heaven.
