He was retired from the wood working industry. He was born in Keno, KY on Jan. 16, 1909 to the late Richmond and Mary Francis Hughes Casada. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Hazel Strunk Casada, and the following children: Oran (Ola) Casada, Maxine Casada, Ivandean (Larry) Pyles, Geraldine Gabe, Glenna (Kenneth) Ohlhauser, and Glen (Linda) Casada, all of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by a son, Willard Paul Casada. He is survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; 2 grandchildren preceded him in death. He is also survived by 3 sisters and 2 brothers: Sarah Tucker of Somerset, KY; Ona Dalton of Cincinnati, OH; Esteen Shelton Massengale of New Castle, IN; Gene Casada of Burnside, KY; and Earl Casada of Cincinnati, OH. The following brothers and sisters proceeded him in death: Lorenzo, Leroy, Paul, David, Mathew (Mack), Ida Ballou, Millie Ballou, Easter Casada, and Classie Ester Powers. Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999 at 10:00 A.M. at the Strawser Funeral Home with burial in the Baltimore Pike Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. Steve is survived by many friends and relatives in McCreary and Pulaski Co., KY, and a very old and dear friend, Monroe Thompson of Pine Knot, KY.
