FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES, 
1954

Chitwood, Nora Strunk was born September 24, 1886, and 
departed this life August 30, 1954, at the age of 67 years, 
11 months and 6 days.

She was the daughter of the late James and Mary Strunk. She 
was married to John D. Chitwood, December 6, 1905 and to this 
union were born 5 children, 3 sons, Homer and Myrl of 
Cincinnati, and one son deceased; 2 daughters, Mrs. Marie 
Gwinn of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Sadie Smith of Fort Thomas, Ky.  

She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the 
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and remained a member until death.  
Besides her four children, she leaves 8 sisters and 4 brothers;
Mrs. George Parnell of Oneida, Mrs. Dillie Ryan, Mrs. Edna 
Stanley, Mrs. Elizabeth Sammons and Mrs. Nola Crabtree of 
Winfield, Mrs. W. B. Byrd of LaFollette, Mrs. Virginia Argbrite
of Lexington, Va., Howard and Willie of Winfield, Adney of 
Virginia and Alfred of Michigan. 14 grandchildren.

We feel that our loss is her eternal gain in glory.
