O'Neal November 3, 1909, deceased this life April 18, 1956. She was married to Oscar Cotton in May 1926. To this union were born five children, three girls, Orangie M. Payne, Lillie M. Rose and Lena Ruth Cotton; two boys, James and Russell Cotton, all of Oneida. She also has seven grandchildren. Sister Cotton joined the Bethalonia Baptist Church July 22, 1932 and lived a faithful Christian life and filled her place at church as long as her health permitted. She is sadly missed but not forgotten by her many friends and relatives. But one consolation, we will meet again where sickness nor death never comes no more and we will live together with God and his Angels rejoicing evermore. Funeral services were held in her home church with Rev. General C. Phillips and Rev. James E. Marcum officiating. West Funeral Home in charge. Her body rests in the Thomas Cemetery on the hill above the home where she spent many happy hours in her life. She was a devoted wife, mother and Christian and was loved by all who knew her. We feel our loss is her eternal gain in glory.
