FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES

Cummings, Chester was borne March 3, 1884 and departed this 
life January 16, 1964 at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 
13 days.

He joined the West Side United Baptist Church in Muncie, 
Indiana, November 2, 1958 and he lived a devoted Christian 
life until God called him home.

He was married to Anna Beason and to this union was born 6 
children, 4 sons and 2 daughters. His wife, Anna Beason 
Cummings and one son, Clyde Frances Cummings, and one daughter, 
Jessie Byrdell Cummings preceded him in death.

He was later married to Etta Glancey. He leaves a wife Etta 
Cummings and 3 sons, Herbert and Robert Cummings of Muncie, 
Indiana, Arthur Cummings of Anderson, Indiana and one daughter, 
Thelma Garringer of Red Key, Indiana; 2 brothers, Leroy and 
Ervin Cummings and 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren 
and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.  

We feel our loss is his eternal gain in Glory. West Side 
United Baptist Church.
