William A. Crabtree of Hartsville, SC, 76, died January 19, 
2000. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Brown-
Pennington-Adkins Funeral Home. Burial followed in the 
Florence National Cemetery, Florence, SC.

Born in STEARNS, KY, he was the son of the late George 
Calvin and Elizabeth Stanley Crabtree. He was a veteran 
of the United States Marine Corp, having served during 
World War II with the 1st Division. Mr. Crabtree was a 
member of DAV Chapter # 72 and the VFW.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen Crabtree of Hartsville; 
one son, Michael D. Crabtree of Trinity, NC; one daughter, 
Maria A. Campbell of Hartsville; one brother, Josh Crabtree 
of Bandon, OR; six sisters, Louella Parkhurst, Patti Parnell, 
Sue Allen and Shirley Keck, all of Roseburg, OR; Carolyn 
Yancy and Phylis West, both of ONEIDA, TN; and four 
grandchildren.
