Tuesday, August 31, 1976, McCreary County Record

Lester Eugene Crabtree, 49, of Stearns died August 25 at the VA Hospital in 
Dayton, Ohio after a lingering illness./  A native of McCreary County, he was 
born February 15, 1927 to the late Isham and Bertha Tabitha Crabtree. He was a 
factory worker and a member of the Antioch Baptist Church./  Survivors include 
five brothers, Laughton, Ashbury, Junior, Earnest and L.D. Crabtree; three 
sisters Emma Thomas, Mary Ruth Huff and Anna Rose Morgan. One sister preceded 
him in death./  Funeral services were held August 29 at the McCreary County 
Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lester Troxell. Burial was in the Lower Hickory 
Grove Cemetery./  Funeral arrangements were handled by the McCreary County 
Funeral Home.
