FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES

Day, Mertie was born August 14th, 1912, deceased this life 
April 26th, 1957. She was 44 years, 8 months and 12 days old.  

She professed a hope in Christ and joined the Missionary 
Baptist Church of Bull Creek and was baptized about 23 years 
ago and remained in that church until last fall. She drew
her letter and came to the United Baptist Church of Bull Creek
and remained there until death.  

She lived a faithful Christian life. She leaves a Christian 
husband, Dyer Day and 3 little girls, Juanita, Geneva and 
Genetta and a son Albert Griffith by her first husband, 
Harlin Griffith. She leaves two brothers, Thomas Bowling 
and Ulus Bowling and three sisters, Liza Harness, Etha 
Harness and Emiline Harness and a host of friends and
relatives to mourn her absence.
