The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ************************************************************* FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES, 1950 Dobbs, Noah-age 54, died in Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville last Thursday, July 13 following an illness of several days. Mr. Dobbs, who had been in the coal business for a number of years was well known and had a large number of friends. He was born at Strunk, Ky., the son of Mack Dobbs, in Sept. 1895. He was a veteran of World War I and member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Grace Dobbs; two sons, Hastle of Oneida and Hurstle of Cincinnati, O.; three brothers, Dan of Oneida, W.M. of Huntsville and McKinley of Helenwood; three sisters, Mrs. Roscoe Chambers of Oak Ridge, Mrs. Roscoe Brown of Helenwood, and Mrs. Wolford Jeffers of Helenwood. Funeral services were held at the Paint Rock Baptist Church Sunday, July 16, with Revs. Leland Thomas and Hurstle Lay officiating. Interment in the family cemetery with Hickman-West in charge.
