FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES, 1951

Duncan, Sarah Jane Stanley was born May 27, 1871, deceased July 9, 
1951, age 80 years, 1 month, 12 days.  

She was married to William C. Duncan on Christmas Eve 59 years ago.  
To this union were born 8 children, two deceased this life in their 
youth.

She leaves her faithful husband and 6 children, Mrs. Eva Byrd, 
Mrs. James Jeffers, Lonnie Duncan, Claborn Duncan, Freddie Duncan, 
all of Oneida, Bailey Duncan of Detroit, Mich., 16 grandchildren, 
2 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Joseph Stanley of Winfield,
with a host of friends and relatives.  

She joined the Baptist Church at Mt. Zion about 1893, belonging to 
the church 58 years. She in later days moved her membership to 
Pentecost, where she remained a faithful member until death.  

We feel our loss is her gain in glory.
