Tuesday, February 22, 1977, McCreary County Record:
William O. Gregory, 73, Route 1, Crossville, Tenn., died suddenly of a heart 
attack January 14, 1977, at his home. His wife, Maggie M. Troxell Gregory, 
preceded him in death./  The deceased was born April 16, 1903, in Wayne 
County, Ky., the son of William Harrison Gregory and Mincie Bell Gregory. He 
was a member of the Baptist Church and worked as a bookkeeper for the Stearns 
Coal and Lumber Company for thirty years before moving to Kellog, Iowa, then 
retiring to Crossville, Tenn./  Surviving include three daughters, Wanda 
Parker, Lexington, Ky., Elouise Blom and Marcella Logan, both of Newton, Iowa; 
four sons, William T. Gregory, Dayton, Ohio, Debloise Gregory, Muncie, Ind., 
Weldon Gregory and Delynn Gregory, both of Newton, Iowa; eleven grandchildren 
and three great grandchildren./  Funeral services were held January 17, 1 p.m. 
at the Chapel of Bilbrey with Rev. Leland Thomas officiating. Burial was in 
Green Acres Memorial Garden./  Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
