HALE, CONNIE SPRADLIN - age 93 of Oak Ridge died Wednesday, January 10, 2001
at NHC Health Care Center. She was born January 5, 1908 in Whitley City, KY,
the daughter of Lewis and Martha Murphy Spradlin. Mrs. Hale was a homemaker
and member of First Baptist Church of Clinton. She came here in 1943 from
Williamsburg, KY and lived many years in the Elza Gate area. She
particularly enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Everett Hale, Feb. 26, 1994 and by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived 
by: sons, Bruce Donald Hale and wife, Dorthy of Clinton, and Robert L. Hale 
and wife, Elogene of Louisville, Tenn.; daughter, Shirley H. Brooks and husband,
Charlie of Sevierville, Tenn.; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1
great-great grandchild. Graveside services are Saturday, January 13, 2001 at
11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Dr. Paul Frick officiating. The
family will receive friends at the graveside after the service. Weatherford
Mortuary, Oak Ridge in charge of the arrangements.
