She was born on Oct. 19, 1933, in Bellfarm, Ky. Bernice spent her life as a homemaker and was a member of the Buck Creek Church of the Brethren. Survivors include two sons, Paul Hansard (wife: Cathy) of Muncie and Calvin Hansard (wife: Kandi) of Mount Pleasant; a daughter, Candy Hansard (fiance' Greg Shannon) of Mount Pleasant; and five sisters, Maxine Shipley of Muncie, Clara Sanders of Wisconsin, Barbara Miller of Muncie, Peggy Gilland (husband: John) of Muncie, and Carrie Foster of Muncie. Survivors also include nine grandchildren, Calvin D. Hansard, Joshua Hansard, Krista Carrier, Ashley Replogle, Tyler Replogle, Amanda Thrasher, Brandon Winchester, Bailey Hansard and Abby Hansard; and several nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis J. Hansard; her parents, Gobie and Hattie Gregory Hill; four brothers; and two sisters. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Bruce Carrier and Pastor Larry Waters presiding. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary and an hour before services Tuesday. Memorial gifts may be made to The Little Red Door-Cancer Services of Delaware County, at 401 W.
