DELSIE SWAIN HARDWICK, age 76, of the Betsey Community of Wayne County, Kentucky passed away Sunday, November 22, 1998 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. She was born in Stearns, Kentucky on April 7, 1922, the daughter of Marion and Zadie Stephens Swain. Both parents preceded her in death. She married Wendell Hardwick, who preceded her in death. She is survived by 1 child Deanna Hardwick Coffey of Betsey, Kentucky; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild; 1 brother Cecil Swain of Pine Knot, Kentucky; and 2 sisters Doris of Missouri and Ruth Gordon of Danville, Kentucky. She was previously employed by the postal service as Post Mistress at the Betsey Post Office for more than 30 years. She was a member of Meadow Creek Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as pianist for more than 40 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 25, 1998 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Charles E. Dick and Brother Mark Harrell officiating. Burial was in Hardwick Cemetery. Marvin S.
