JONES John L. Jones, 99, Williamsburg, passed away Friday, April 28, 2000 at the Williamsburg Nursing Home. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Neal Jones and a step-son, Earl Perkins. He is survived by two daughters, Lillie S. Ball of Burnside and Norma L. Ball of Loveland, Ohio; one step-son, Dave Perkins of Columbus, Indiana; 13 grandchildren, James Ball of Eugene, Oregon, Michael Ball of Loveland, Ohio, John Ball of Milford, Ohio, Nora Harp of Burnside, Stephen Ball of Loveland, Ohio, Dorene Murphy, Lorene Davis and Harold Perkins, all of Pine Knot, Barbara Perry of Whitley City, Maxine Perkins of Milford, Ohio, Pam Gerber of Largo, Florida, Joyce Padgett of Tampa, Florida, and Kevin Perkins of Columbus, Indiana; 17 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; also a special friend, Effie Burton of Williamsburg. Funeral services were held Monday, May 1 at the Jones & Son Funeral Home Chapel with John Ball, Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Marvin Loudermilk officiating. Burial followed in the Bethel Cemetery in McCreary County.
