CECIL KIDD, age 72, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2000 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset, Kentucky. He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on August 17, 1927, the son of Fount Kidd and Dillie Jones Kidd. Both parents preceded him in death. He married Doris Sellers Kidd, who also preceded him in death. He is survived by 3 children Ronnie Kidd of Stearns, Kentucky, Gary Kidd of Monticello, Kentucky, and Paulette Jones of Danville, Kentucky; 2 brothers Melvin Kidd and Edward Kidd, both of Cleves, Ohio; 1 sister Cloma Partin of Cincinnati, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a special friend Dorothy Waters of Revelo, Kentucky. Preceding him in death are 2 sons Randall and Jimmy Kidd; a brother Johnny Green Kidd; and 2 sisters Lora Duncan and Myrtle Kidd. He was a retired Job Corps Crew Leader for the U. S. Forest Service. He had also worked in the mines for the Stearns Coal and Lumber Company. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 16, 2000 at 11 A.M. eastern time at the funeral home. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery at Stearns, Kentucky.
