OBITS FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES
King, Charles David-Was born June 28, 1945, and deceased this life June 8,
1960, at the age of 14 years, 11 months and 10 days.  He is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Marshall King.  Besides his parents, he leaves a sister, Marsha
Lynn; a grandmother, Mrs. Foster King; a grandfather, Rev. J. W. Blevins,
and a great host of other relatives and friends.  David was saved in the
Bethlehem Baptist Church and a gave a wonderful testimony of the New Hope
that had come into his life.  He joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in
September, 1958 and remained a faithful member until death.  He was one of
the finest, most upright boys in our community.  His life expressed the
highest ideals in character, honesty, and truthfulness.  His loyalty to his
school, his classmates and the right, is to be admired.  We do not know why
we could not keep David, but God knows and He does all things well.  He had
a far more beautiful and more lovely place for David and He called him home
to forever be with Him.  May we look forward to the time when we again shall
see David in all the beauty of Heaven where Jesus is the Light, and perhaps
sing with him his favorite song.  "My God How Great Thou Art."  "Blessed are
the dead which die in the Lord."
