Tuesday, January, 27, 1981, McCreary County Record:
Clarence Edward Massengale, 55, Harrison, Ohio, died January 9, in Cincinnati, 
Funeral services were held January 14 at 1 p.m. at Hickman Funeral Home Chapel 
with Rev. Hobert Vaughn officiating. Burial was in Pine Knot Cemetery./  He 
was born Aug. 28, 1925, in Tennessee to Eva Mathews Massengale and the late 
Calvin Massengale. He was a machinist and was a member of Cold Springs Baptist 
Church. He was a veteran of World War II./  Survivors include his wife, Reba 
Privett Massengale, Harriaon,Ohio, his mother, Eva Massengale, Pine Knot; his 
children, Thomas Massengale, San Diego, Calif., Clarice Joiner, Cold Springs, 
Dolores Hellman, Cleves, Ohio, Etta Massengale, Cincinnati; a stepson, Larry 
Cox, Cincinnati; two grandchildren; three step-geandchildren; a brother, Arlie 
Massengale, Pine Knot; four sisters, Dorothy Cooper, Pine Knot, Edna Watson, 
California, Ky., Faye Dickman, Muncie, Ind., Virginia Lee, Comfort, Va./  
Hickman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
