Tuesday, September 8, 1964, McCreary County Record:
Funeral services for SP/5 Elijah Clinton Miller, killed in an automobile 
accident at Killen, near Fort Hood, Texas August 27, was held in the New Lite 
Baptist Church Tuesday, September 1, at 2 p.m. Rev. Ledford Perry and Rev. 
Oscar Morgan were the officiating ministers. The deceased was honored with 
military rites by an Honor Guard from Fort Knox. Burial was in the New Lite 
Cemetery./ Survivors are his wife, Anna Bell Gilreath Miller, his mother, Mrs. 
Ethel Watson Miller, and three brothers, Calvin, Charlie and Obie Miller, all 
of Strunk, Ky.
