Freddie, the son of Wiley Peters, deceased 1948, and Ada Peters, Armathwaite, Tennessee. He was married to Ollie Davis April 5, 1931. Three daughters, Mrs. Roxie Draughn, Muncie, Indiana, Mrs. Wilma Taylor, Tipp City, Ohio & Miss Wanda Peters, Armathwaite, Tenn. were born to his union. His wife Ollie, preceded him in death in May 1939. He was united in marriage to Imogene Terry September 19, 1943. To this union was born six children as follows: Freddie Otto, Jr., Wartburg, Tenn., James Gayson, Lansing, Tenn., Ronald Ernest, residing at home, Margaret Effie, residing at home, Naomi Jean, residing at home and Donald Lee, deceased in infancy. Also surviving him are one brother, Charles Ernest of Armathwaite, Tenn. and four sisters as follows: Mrs. Sarah Mills, Armathwaite, Tennessee, Mrs. Flossie Voiles, Louisville, Tennessee, Mrs. Delphia Wesley and Mrs. Opal Duncan both of Muncie, Indiana. Three sisters departed this life before him, Mrs. Leoa Ellis, Mrs. Alva Smith and Mae Peters. He also had three half-sisters, Mrs. Bitha Laudin, Armathwaite, Tenn., Bertha Jones and Mary Peters, both deceased. His grandchildren are Elaine Draughn, Nola Jean Taylor and Michael Taylor. Freddie made his profession of faith in God at the age of 12 and joined the Honey Creek Church where he was a member when he died. He was ordained for the ministry November 12, 1950. His ministry included service in fifty-five revival and pastorship of eight churches resulting in 314 professions and 82 renewals recorded from revivals. His pastorship at death was with the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Stockton, Tennessee and the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church at Lansing, Tennessee.
