FROM THE NEWS-JOURNAL, CORBIN, 11 JAN 2001, PART 1

L. B. Rains, 74, Williamsburg, passed away Monday morning, January 1, 2001
at his home.

Survivors include three sons, Bobby Rains of Williamsburg, Kenny Rains
and wife, Vicky of Williamsburg and E. Paul Rains and wife, Betty of
Williamsburg; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two
sisters, Geneva Brown of Williamsburg and Christine Singleton of
Williamsburg; also several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and
friends to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Rains and a son,
Ronald Rains.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 4 at the Croley Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter and Rev. Fred Powers officiating.
Burial followed in the Highland Park Cemetery, Davis Addition.

Croley Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
