OBITS FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES
Sims, Roger Troy-Son of James and Mary Ella Sims was born March 20, 1957
departed this life January 16, 1966 at the age of 14 years, 9 months and 26
days.  He leaves to mourn his passing his father and mother; 4 Brothers,
Robert, Kenneth, Donald and William; 1 Sister, Wilma; also his grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. William Sims of Robbins and Mr. Robert Fields of Elk Park,
North Carolina; also a host of other relatives and friends.  He professed a
hope in Christ and joined the Black Creek Church about three years ago where
he remained a member at death.  He will be sadly missed in the community, at
home and among his comrades.  But in all our sadness we feel our loss is his
eternal gain in heaven.
