FROM THE WEST UNION ASSOCIATION OF UNITED BAPTISTS MINUTES, 1951
Terry, Bernetta Phillips---Was born April 1, 1882, age 68 years, 11
months, 28 days.  Died March 29, 1951.  She was married to L.D. Terry
December 25, 1906.  To this union were born seven children, four boys and
three girls, one boy preceded her in death. He was killed in action in
Lorain, France. The rest are still living. She professed a hope in Christ
in 1920 and joined the Antioch Church and later moved her membership to
Opossum Rock Baptist Church, where she remained until death. She lived a
devoted Christian life for 31 years. She was a loving wife and a faithful
mother until God called her away from her suffering. She said a few days
before her passing away that she was ready to go away any time the Lord
called her. She leaves to mourn her absence, her husband, three sons, three
daughters, 32 grandchildren and a number of friends and relatives.  Her work
on earth is done, but a new life in heaven has begun. We feel our loss is
her gain in glory.
