Etta Jane Witt, 68, Rt. 1, Pine Knot, died Jan 27 at UT Medical Center,
Knoxville.  Funeral services were held Jan 30 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Run
Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Lovett officiating.  Burial was in Pleasant
Run Cemetery.

She was born June 8, 1913, at Pleasant Run, to the late Will and Sarah
Gilreath Ashton.  She was a housewife and member of Pleasant Hill Methodist
Church.  She was married to Dewey Witt, March 13, 1933, in Jellico, Tenn

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Ray George, Frank,
and John Ashton; sisters, Mary Lovett and Gertie Derickson.

Survivors include her husband, Dewey Witt, Pine Knot, her son, James
Witt, Miami, Fla.; 2 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Flossie Ashton, Pine Knot,
and Dora Lawes, Monroe, Mich.
