First; i give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth,all my estate real personal and mixed to have and to hold and use for her benifit,durning her natural life or widowhood to support and maintain her durning said life but for no other purpose and she is to take a life estate and no more in the land. she is to sell no timber from the land and to use only what is necessary for keeping farm in repair and for fire wood.In case she remarries,she is to take only what the statutes of the state of kentucky allows. 2.in the event of her death or marriage, i will and bequeath to my 4 sons: Harvey,Oscar,Samuel and Augusta Hollars all my real estate now owed by me except 70 acres purchased by me from Adam Barker of color, to have and to hold absoutly except that should 1 or more of them die without heirs of them living.At that time those remaining are to take all and divide equally and should either of them die and leave heirs,then the heirs are to take only their father's part and with the further provision that should any of these children become of age and desire to sell his intrest , he should not do so unless he sells to the others until all are of age. Third: i will and bequeath to Ollie Hollars and Belle Hollars, the 70 acres exempted with the second bequest know as the Adam Barker tract to have and behold absolutely, at the death of Elizabeth Hollars with this provision,if either should die, without issue, then the sivivor takes all and if either desires to sell, then they can sell only to her sister or to the 4 brothers herin named. Fourth:I will and bequeath to my children herin named, all personal property that may be on hand at death or marriage of my wife Elizabeth Hollarsto be equally divided among those serviving at such time or their heirs if any and aslo real estate in additon to what i now own and that i may here after aquire shall be divied in the same manner. Given under my hand ,this December 21st,1894 [his mark] X Albert Hollars Sr. Attest:S M Boone,W,A Morrow,T Morrow Jr, E.P Morrow, O.P.Duncan Proved 22 July 1907 Additional Comments: The name who wrote this will is my grandfather.Harvey my dad. some time after this will was written and before 1900 i was told my dad accidently shot his brother Oscar in the groin area and Osacr bled to death. my dad ran away from home. i do not belive he ever knew about the will. i cannot verify this story as it was passed down to me from a son of my dad's first marriage. Grandfather Albert had 3 or 4 wives. #1Margaret Canada ( they divorced) #2 Mary Ann Gooding ( she died) #3 Kissiah Thompson ( she out lived him and the children mentioned in the will were all hers and his) i can find no record of divorce and she was still alive in 1920 living with her son Rily Augusta in Pulaski Co ky) i do not know the maiden name of Elizabeth the women he calls wife in his will. my father Harvey died in 1943 in Ste Genevieve Co Mo. my mother was 3 months pregnant with me. i have his death records. anyone who would like toknow more email me.
